Hi David,
It was great to see you today, and a pleasant surprise!
Beach road to Chilaw has bumpy spots but it is pleasant to ride beside the ocean. Just local traffic and quiet. I am staying again at Hotel Lion Raj. Simple rooms in back Rs. 1500.

cheers Bill. I enjoyed meeting up. Thanks for the coffee I forgot to pay for! I'm finding Negombo a bit dull which isn't such a bad thing as i'm sure I'll be champing at the bit by Friday to hit the road... I'll check out the hotel you mention when I get to Chilaw.
