... off to France (Tour de France)

... not exactly relevant to this blog, but I'm off to France on 13th July to watch the last nine or so days of the Tour de France and do some cycling. This time I'm going with a few other folk, including my brother & a work colleague, as part of a small tour group. Should be fantastic!! I won't take my own bike this time but will hire one there. And after the Tour, I'm doing an eight day bike ride between Strasbourg & Basel!

conquered Alpe d’Huez yesterday – a bit easier than Mont Ventoux which we tackled on Tuesday (shorter, although steeper average gradient). The food has been pretty good I reckon; better than the stuff that Gabriel Gaté cooks up on SBS's TDF program. We’re here - at Chavant Hotel (in Bresson) - for two more evenings & then off to Paris, France! Cadel may have had his day today (stage 18, after Schleck’s big win).
