What ho! I've had a few!

You're cycling along, thinking you've pretty much got it all together, and WHAMMO! there you are, in your mind,in the embrace of [INSERT NAME OF STRANGE UNWANTED PERSON, ANIMAL OR THING HERE] and your life is never quite the same again.

Yeah, I know that one....Felix and Mr Pumpyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06570657416039091909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9795963.post-39624926713277352472008-11-25T08:26:00.000-08:002008-11-25T08:26:00.000-08:00Hi Felix, Dave here (anonomously posting as I'...Hi Felix, Dave here (anonomously posting as I'm using my own laptop ... I think the virus/worm I have forwards on passwords etc so I'm taking no chances). This is a family-oriented blogsite mate & so nothing too ghastly or ignoble or intimate gets a mention. I mean, there was the pimple on the left buttock that hindered my cycling a little, and those rather odd sexual thoughts that arise as you pedal endlessly on, but perhaps I've said too much already ...

Dave WAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9795963.post-72548004589270017012008-11-25T07:08:00.000-08:002008-11-25T07:08:00.000-08:00...the occasional visual or auditory hallucination......the occasional visual or auditory hallucination ..

Yes, I've had a few of those myself! Marvelous things, once you get used to them, but I do prefer them in the quiet of my own contemplation, rather than on the road into Delhi.

In fact, on the fricken' road to Delhi, visual hallucinations may be a sure sign to 'get off the bike'! My God, what a frightening thought.

What were they?

Anyway, excellent update on the blog, mate, cheers, although a little brief.

So, is that it?

Couldn't you have put a little more effort in?

Mind you, I've just read through it all quickly, skimmed really... it being late at night here in China, and I'm working my tail off trying to extricate myself from the place. I'll do an in-depth read in the next few days, and ah, comment accordingly.

Now I must say, if you'd read the text pages I sent you some weeks back, you would know you could actually stay in Kusum. A few shacks? Didn't you see the army barracks on the right hand side of the road? Holy cow, it's right out of "Combat!" (Yes, Vic, may he rest in peace.)

An elephant ride? Yes, quite.

In fact, the more I write, the more I "feel" that you've left out some important bits... something grisly, something ignoble, ghastly, and hence of great interest to the cycling reading public.

See what you can do, mate, eh? Please tell us what it is.

Thanks!Felix and Mr Pumpyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06570657416039091909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9795963.post-51640894066850433202008-11-25T01:30:00.000-08:002008-11-25T01:30:00.000-08:00you're right Mr Felix, it's the brain that...you're right Mr Felix, it's the brain that's suffering more than the body, which is doing remarkably well. I'm now in delhi, having cycled over 400km in the last 4 days (a little further than perhaps necessary, owing to taking a wrong turn ... perhaps a map might've been helpful). Cycling into Delhi is quite achievable, but it requires enormous concentration - to the front, side & back, as well as a good distance ahead looking for relevant signposts, street signs etc. ... and then there's the occasional visual or auditory hallucination ...david whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07328484331069592409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9795963.post-68487911231403851382008-11-24T17:52:00.000-08:002008-11-24T17:52:00.000-08:00Re Lucinda....Lucinda, it's not Dave's weight we'r...Re Lucinda....

Lucinda, it's not Dave's weight we're worried about, it's his brain.
